I currently serve as a research advisor and coordinator for the Office of Undergraduate Research at the University of Washington (Seattle, WA). In my role, my primary responsibilities include leading and supporting social and web marketing and communications, abstract review, and volunteer processes for the Undergraduate Research Symposium, an annual event slated to host over 1,200 undergraduate students as they present their research findings; engaging over 200 volunteers in the event! In addition, I also develop and implement print/physical, social media engagement, and website marketing, including content creation, analytics and analysis, and planning. This includes sharing undergraduate research stories, opportunities, and events. With continued respect for comms/marketing, I also lead and develop workshops, seminars, and information sessions around various aspects of research, including navigating the research lifecycle, professional and academic development. Outside of these dedications, I also oversee the Undergraduate Research Conference Travel Award process, from review to awarding, with support from the URCTA committee; support summer research experiences for undergraduates (REUs) by engaging students in a core seminar focused on professional development-- offered to many research programs-- hosting summer engagement opportunities, and provide 1:1 advising for summer program participants. And finally, I advise and support undergraduate students generally through one-on-one settings in their research careers, from engaging with their first research space to presenting nationally and internationally and going beyond.

Pushing service forward, I serve as a member on the Social Science Division, Council on Undergraduate Research (nationally). Within my commitment, I serve as a member on the student travel awards subcommittee, the social media and outreach subcommittee, and the website working group. In addition, I currently serve as a member on the Washington Educational Research Association (Seattle, WA).
